Ensure the long-term success of your training

Lasting, sustainable results from workplace literacy training take time to achieve. There is no quick fix.

The key to achieving ongoing success with workplace literacy is commitment. It’s vital to keep your training alive and effective to deliver lasting results.

Make it sustainable

Like any other training, for literacy training to be truly effective, it must be sustainable. This applies whether you're just starting your training programme, you’re part way through, or you've completed your programme. And sustainability means the intent to develop programmes that work, as well as ones that are easy to carry forward. If yours is a one-off endeavour you may see immediate improvements but these may not translate into sustained benefits.

Make it business as usual

As other businesses have found, you’ll need to continuously improve and adapt your training to fit your needs. In time, this leads to your training being integrated into your other workplace training. That’s when it becomes business as usual and can deliver the best long-term results.

Many employers around the country are already taking the next steps with their workplace literacy training.
