If you don’t measure it, you won’t know what you’ve achieved.

Here’s what to look for and how to measure the results.

Successful workplace literacy training will help improve the essential reading, maths and communication skills of your employees – and consequently positively affect many workplace tasks. Those improvements will become evident as your training programme progresses.

The bigger picture is to measure these improvements against your business objectives.

Expect to see both tangible and intangible benefits. Try to include both in your measurements.

To measure the tangible benefits of your programme, you need to set benchmarks.

To measure the intangible benefits of your programme you need to talk to your managers, supervisors and employees and hear their stories – both before and after your training programme. 

Prepare a quality assurance process document to help you set benchmarks that enable you to evaluate your workplace training programme.
