National Centre to close as TEC moves to new models of supporting professional development
The TEC has announced that they will conclude funding for the National Centre for Literacy and Numeracy for Adults at the end of 2017. The National Centre has led and delivered the TEC literacy and numeracy professional development programme since 2009.
Ako Aotearoa (the National Centre of Tertiary Teaching Excellence) has been commissioned by TEC to work with the sector to develop new tools to help educators teach better. This includes the development of a foundation-level professional standards framework.
