Horowhenua Learning Centre Trust

Horowhenua Learning Centre (HLC) is a 'not-for-profit' private training establishment (PTE) registered and accredited by NZQA.

Its function is to deliver nationally recognised qualifications and skills training to help people gain sustainable employment or transiation to higher study. HLC is based in Levin, but also delivers programmes in New Plymouth, Kapiti, Lower Hutt, Palmerston North, Whanganui and Tararua.

HLC prides itself on delivering more than just a qualification. It complements this by working strategically with employers and industries to identify their specific training needs and preparing student/clients to meet this demand.

Workplace Literacy and Numeracy works hand in hand with this industry approach. This allows the employers to engage their staff in a service to up-skill and enhance their employees' productivity and knowledge, resulting in a higher performing workforce.
